Amanda has been practicing Yoga for over 10 years. Amanda felt an immediate sense of magic in her body. Over the years she has practiced a variety of yoga styles including Vinyasa, Astanga, Bikram & Yin, in which she is always seeking different styles and keeping her classes creative. Each style of yoga she has strengthened her appreciation for the teachings. Amandas yoga journey has lead her to the seat of the teacher, in her words, "it is a profound honor to hold space for others as they discover all that yoga has to offer them. Teaching from a space of wonder and exploration it is my goal to offer supportive tools and modifications for anyone to enjoy their practice wether we pick up the pace in a vinyasa class or slow it down to invite restoration to our bodies and peace to our mind and soul." You will find Amanda teaching throughout the week.
I received my 200hr in 2012 at Kula Yoga Shala. My practice and teaching is an integral experience consisting of Hatha yoga through the physical postures (asanas), breath control (pranayama), cleansing process (kriyas) Karma yoga/selfless service, Bhakti the path of love through devotion to the divine, Jnana yoga the path of wisdom consisting of self-analysis and awareness., Raja yoga or meditation, and Japa yoga the repetition of mantra . My active asana practice tends to gravitate towards the Ashtanga and Bikram practices. While I find myself sharing the vinyasa practice I share many practices of Yoga: yin, kundalini, restorative, and some Iyengar sequences. I have a deep passion and gratitude for the Yogic path and I am grateful for the teachers that have gone before me to share this practice and offer me healing on this journey. I hope in some way what I share will offer this to you. Namaste

I spent much of my life on the road less traveled. At the age of 8, I was a motherless child and was drawn to music for emotional expression. I navigated through college, earning degrees in Music Education and Music Therapy. As a pioneer, all my career paths were self-made due to music therapy’s new beginning in health and educational careers. Attending drum circles worldwide and experiencing first-hand trauma, I eagerly want to share my new skill set in a class of affirmations via rhythm, voice, and movement. As a valued sense of knowledge and gratitude in this community of music synchrony at DTE, we will use modalities to anchor positive affirmations and loving oneself ❤️.
